Why Gummies Melt

A gummy is sugar syrup held in a gel. Both parts respond to heat. The gel loses its structure as it warms, and the sugar syrup becomes more mobile, so the pieces slump, stick to each other and to the bottle.

The gelling agent decides how quickly. Gelatin melts around body temperature, which is exactly why gelatin sweets feel like they dissolve in your mouth — and exactly why they fuse in a warm parcel. Humidity makes it worse independently of temperature, because moisture softens the surface and helps the pieces bond together.

The Delivery Problem

This is where most people meet the issue. A parcel spends time in a van, on a doorstep or in a mailbox, and in summer any of those can be well above 40 degrees Celsius for hours.

Nothing about the supplement is dangerous afterwards. Heat does not create anything toxic in a gummy. What it creates is a practical problem: pieces stuck together in a mass you cannot reliably divide.

• Have it delivered somewhere shaded, or to a workplace, if you are ordering in the hottest months.
• Bring the parcel in the same day. Most of the damage happens on the doorstep after delivery, not in transit.
• Open it and check straight away, while the return window is comfortably open.

Is A Melted Bottle Still Usable?

Usually, with one real caveat.

If the seal was intact and the gummies have simply gone soft, putting the bottle somewhere cool for a few hours normally firms them up again. Some sugar may have crystallised on the surface, which is cosmetic.

The caveat is dosing. Once pieces have genuinely merged into a single mass, you cannot tell where one gummy ends and the next begins. Breaking a lump in half is a guess, and it is a guess about how much Garcinia Cambogia and how much acid you are taking. If they will not separate cleanly, contact the seller rather than estimating.

Throw it away without hesitation if the seal was broken, if there is any smell that is not the smell you remember, or if there is anything fuzzy. Those are different problems from heat.

Storing Six Bottles Through A Summer

1. A cool, dark, dry cupboard. An interior one, away from the oven and the kettle. A bedroom drawer beats most kitchen shelves.
2. Open one at a time. Five sealed bottles keep far better than five opened ones, because air and humidity are half the problem.
3. Close the cap properly. Every time. A cap resting on the neck lets moisture in all day.
4. Leave the desiccant packet in. That little sachet is doing a job. It is not rubbish and it is not edible.
5. Never the bathroom, the car or a windowsill. Those three places account for most ruined bottles.

What Heat Does Not Do

It does not make the product dangerous, and it does not destroy the ingredients in any dramatic way. Vitamins degrade slowly with heat over months rather than instantly in an afternoon, and minerals like chromium are not affected at all — metals do not break down.

So a hot delivery is an inconvenience and a dosing problem, not a safety event. Judge it on whether you can still take one gummy at a time, and if you cannot, that is what the seller customer service is for.
