Every Alkatide Question, Answered
Thirty-six questions in six groups. Short answers, with a link to the full page wherever one exists.
The Basics
What is Alkatide?
A chewable apple cider vinegar gummy with five other named ingredients: garcinia cambogia, green tea extract, pomegranate, chromium and vitamin B6. One bottle holds thirty gummies, which at the stated serving of one a day is a month.
Is it a medicine?
No. It is a dietary supplement, which is a food category rather than a drug one. Nothing in this category is FDA approved, and none of it is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent illness.
What does it taste like?
Like a fruit gummy with a sour edge underneath. The sugar base is there to make apple cider vinegar palatable, and it mostly succeeds. The aftertaste is the commonest complaint and it usually stops registering inside a week.
Is it vegan?
That depends on whether the gelling agent is pectin, which is plant-based, or gelatin, which is not. Check your own panel. The two behave differently in heat as well, which the gummy base article covers.
How many gummies in a bottle?
Thirty, which is a month at one a day.
Where is it made?
In the United States, in an FDA-registered facility according to the packaging. Registered means the facility is listed and inspectable. It is not FDA approval of the product.
Taking It
How many should I take?
One a day is the stated serving. Two is the label ceiling, and it doubles the sugar and the acidity without doubling the benefit.
What time of day?
Morning, with food or just before it. Food buffers the acidity, and morning keeps the small amount of green tea caffeine away from bedtime.
Should I chew or swallow?
Chew it properly. Swallowing a gummy whole means it sits in one place in the stomach, which is neither more effective nor more comfortable.
Do I need to rinse afterwards?
Yes, with plain water, and do not brush for half an hour. The product is acidic and it contacts your teeth directly, which a capsule never does.
What if I miss a day?
Simply pick the routine back up at the usual hour tomorrow. Nothing here accumulates in a way a missed day interrupts, so there is no deficit to make good.
What if I take two by accident?
For most healthy adults that is extra sugar and extra acid rather than a medical event. Go back to one the next day.
How long before anything happens?
Appetite changes, where they happen, tend to appear in weeks two and three. Four weeks is a fair first read and eight is better.
Can I take it with coffee?
Yes. Add whatever caffeine is in the green tea extract to your daily total rather than ignoring it, particularly if you are already at several cups.
What Is In It
What are the ingredients?
Apple cider vinegar, garcinia cambogia, green tea extract, pomegranate, chromium and vitamin B6, plus the gummy base. Every one has its own page with an evidence grade attached.
Does it contain sugar?
Yes, and it has to. Sugar sets the gummy and makes vinegar palatable. Usually two to three grams per gummy, which is under a teaspoon, but it is not zero.
Does it contain caffeine?
A small amount, from the green tea extract, unless the extract is decaffeinated. The exact figure is not printed on most panels.
Which ingredient is the strongest?
The apple cider vinegar, through slower gastric emptying. It is the only mechanism here with repeatable human trials behind it.
Which is the weakest?
Garcinia cambogia. Neat mechanism, inconsistent human results, and doses in the research measured in grams that a shared gummy cannot deliver.
Are the amounts printed?
Chromium is. The others generally are not, and without a figure you cannot compare what is in the bottle against what the research used.
Is there anything hidden in it?
No stimulant blend, no ephedra, no synephrine and no yohimbine. The only stimulant is whatever caffeine rides along with the green tea extract.
Results And Expectations
Will it make me lose weight?
Only indirectly, only through appetite, and only if you act on the appetite change. Nothing here burns fat or blocks calories.
How much weight could I lose?
This site will not put a number on that, because no honest one exists. The ingredient trials that found anything averaged around a kilogram over weeks, at doses far above what a gummy carries.
Nothing happened after a month. Now what?
That is a real outcome rather than a failure to try properly. Appetite responses vary a great deal. Use the sixty-day window rather than buying a second pack hoping.
Does it work for men and women the same?
Yes. Nothing on this panel behaves differently by sex, whoever the advertising photographs.
Does it do anything if the rest of my week stays identical?
Probably not noticeably. The mechanism that works is about appetite, and appetite only matters if it changes what you eat.
Do the results last after stopping?
Whatever eating habits changed while taking it are yours to keep. The gummy itself does nothing once you stop, because none of it accumulates.
Safety
What are the side effects?
Mild stomach unease in the first few days, a vinegary aftertaste, and caffeine-type effects in anyone sensitive. Taking it with food prevents most of that.
Who should not take it?
Anyone under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding; anyone with reflux, gastritis or ulcers; anyone with a liver problem; and anyone on glucose medication who has not spoken to a doctor.
Can I take it with medication?
Ask a pharmacist first, with your full list. Glucose medicines, warfarin, blood pressure tablets, levothyroxine, levodopa and serotonergic antidepressants are all on the list worth raising.
Will it hurt my teeth?
Not with a plain water rinse afterwards and no brushing for half an hour. Chewing acidic products daily without rinsing is where enamel problems start.
Is it safe with diabetes?
That is a question for the doctor managing it. Three ingredients here push glucose in the same direction as the medicine, and the gummy also carries sugar.
Should I stop before surgery?
A fortnight beforehand is the usual instruction for botanicals, and the surgical team should know what you take regardless.
Can teenagers take it?
No. This is an adults-only product and the label says 18 and over.
Buying And Returns
What does it cost?
Two bottles at $79 each, three at $69, six at $49, with free US delivery on the three and six bottle packs. The checkout is the final word.
Is there a subscription?
No. One payment, one delivery, no card kept on file and no second charge unless you order again.
Where should I buy it?
The official store. The guarantee belongs to the seller and does not travel with a marketplace listing, and counterfeits are a genuine problem in this category.
How does the refund work?
Sixty days from the date of payment, opened bottles included. Email the seller with your order number, wait for a return authorisation, then send everything back with tracking.
Who pays the return postage?
You do, and tracked postage is strongly advisable because the tracking number is your only evidence the parcel arrived.
Does the sixty days start at delivery?
No, at payment. Anyone counting from delivery is quietly giving away however long shipping took.
Can this site process my refund?
No. It is an independent publication with no access to the seller's systems. The confirmation email from your purchase is the route.
Is my question missing?
Send it in. It gets answered and added.
